I'm soon to be doing a built in wardrobe installation for a client in a room that used to be a utility room so there are all sort of sockets and fused spurs everywhere.
I will remove and blank off any redundant fused spurs but I assume that hiding a socket behind a built in unit goes against the regs (inaccessible joint??)
Since as it stands none of these sockets are required to be used ever again can I just remove the sockets, stick some wagos on and fit a blanking plate? essentially making it an "maintenance free junction box"?
There was some chat about lighting the insides but I think they have gone off the idea after the thought of paying for an electrician to move sockets.
IF the wires are long enough i might put the sockets inside the wardrobes if they wish but before anyone mentions it....I don't want there to be access hatches (unless absolutely necessary)
