Black fungus mildew?

Around the rear of the kitchen sink we have a splash back. This is sealed with clear silicone.
But right behind the tap area is a black growth…mildew?
How can I get rid of this?
What treatment would you recommend to get rid of this? I’ve tried white vinegar soaked tissue, Domestos bleach…run out of ideas apart from cutting out the silicone and repointing which is difficult because of the mixer tap…

We had the same situation around the kitchen sink and a corner of the shower trying many different methods to remove without success. I tried this stuff and it's a gel that you leave for 8 hours and then wipe off. It removed nearly all of it in one go and a second application finished it off.

Moisture will condense on cold surfaces & mould will appear , remove the moisture and the problem goes but it's not that simple when the plaster is wet under the paint or covering especially when water ingress is from the outside no matter how much you heat and vent the place .

This is the slum-hole where my daughter used to live , three months after moving in to the newly redecorated flat in mid summer on a years rental contract as soon as the weather changed to wet .

Always a bad time to move as things are intentionally/ purposely hidden behind paint & papered walls to con the new tenants into renting a slum for a year then the landlord no fault evicting them and claiming the £ 1500 or so renters deposit & possible lost rent .

I wonder how many pallets of the jelly she'd have needed to sort that out ?
If any of you buy some for future reference can you put up a picture of the back of the bottle so we know what chemicals are in it .

White vinegar 500 ml , 20 drops of Tea tree oil and 20 drops of lemon oil is a well tried tested and recommended surface mould remover as mould does not thrive in the acidic conditions nor or inthe present of Tree oil , the lemon oil also helps too and smells nice . Saw this recipe on TV a couple of years ago where two nutters who go live in and clean out peoples gungy flea /cockroach ridden homes . I can vouch it is good for surface cleaning but mould deep in damp walls is some thing else and you need to find the cause of the damp .

Excessive cooking moisture in the air , slight leaks under the sink , cold entering where the pipes outlet to the drain are good starting points
Putting in round 75 mm or so plastic soffit vents in the kitchen cabinet kick board can help with venting with clen dry air under the copboards and help air flow , Adding a very small super quiet in-line fan ( £15 ish )to blow fresh air under the cabinets when the lights are on is our next project for my daughters new rental

a mix of white wine vineger and salt works quite well.......
the vineger is also great for cleaning the lime from kettles......boil the kettle and then put in 1/2 cup of the w/w/vineger.....instant clean with no scrubbing.....
it took two goes over 4 days to clean the hot water tank heating pipes/coils from the c/heating / solar panel.....
we buy the vineger by the 5lt bottle, about €3 euroes from Lidil.....

I often also used white vinegar to remove carbon build up's on the breech block and ejector facings on my rifles .
Learnt that one in HMF, Ok so long as you use really hot water to flush it out several times and thoroughly get the weapon dry before lubricating with graphite or oil .
