Bits in paint

Hi,
I painted the roof of my car in Cellulose paint last weekend, but didn't clean the gutters properly, so when spraying a few bit landed in the paint.

Would flatting and polishing sort it?

the only way to find out is try but they may just flat and polish with the rest of the paint leaving dark specs in the paint

OK thanks, in that case would it be possible to flat it back and spray another cellulose colour coat on top? or would I have to prime it all and start again.

if the bits stand out as unacceptable specks once polished , then just key the paint with fine wet n dry or a scotch pad and add some more coats , no need to re prime

as steveo said but make sure the bits are not powdery if they can't be polished out
