I have done shed loads of wiring on this truck, and now have the rear section left to do, all the lights have to be powered up by two lengths of seven core wire, not normally an issue, as we normally use two sorts of junction box, but in this case there is no space for a junction box.
The rear section is fabricated alloy box with very limited space once the lights are fitted in there, one inch deeper and it would be easy peasy.
So rather than go mad with the heat shrink connectors, I was wondering if anyone has any space saving ideas?
In a nutshell there are 14 sidelights, 6 stoplights, 6 indicators, 2 fog lights, 2 reverse lights and 2 strobes, this means there are 8x4 core cables, 2x3 core cables, 6 2 core cables which have to join up to the 2x7 core cable.
Newer type of jct box I wanted to use, easy as they accept supaseal connectors, generally with some contact spray they stay corrosion free.
Older type, this is a double height one, but they very quickly get very busy with the amount of cable we are talking about.
This and the single height version will also not fit.
These are buggers if the connectors have not been coated with contact spray.
