I think it was cellulose as I had a tin of touch up paint, was done some years ago, I sold that bike in 2006 after I bought my Bonnie.

Recently sold my TL1000S as its use was a bit limited,plus it kept trying to kill me
...going down to Rochester in Kent next Saturday to pick this up,seems to tick a couple more boxes like my FJR1300 which ime keeping plus its only had 2 owners with 15000 miles under its belt

Going to Yorkshizza to pick this up on sat mornin..weather looking good so should be a fair ride back
Iv got a 07 one of them good bike best mods I made was a aftermarket rear shock (do have issues with the insurance ever year) and a Corbin seat went from....... Iv got to get off this after 60 odd miles to I could ride all day. I see that it looks like a aftermarket seat fitted so you should be a happy bunny. Oh and i made some stainless steel bar ends and some spacers for the mirrors as I could see more of me arms than what was behind me.

I've done the wirral egg run on a bike a few years, but it was a fair few years back. Must have been, it was on my old gs750 streetfighter! I remember having to carry a spare battery strapped to the pillion because I was a winding down on the alternator the last time, and slow traffic played havoc with its 904cc bored engine. Happy days, I still have it, too bespoke & personal to sell on.
I've been indulging in some bike therapy myself, but after a day decided I'd had enough of the uneven floor that I'd put up with for 6 years since moving here, because I promised I'd finish the house before doing my bike shed. Its that bad because it was a cow shed and they just poured the stalls individually.
sledge and pinch bar action followed. Took enough out to give me a flat floor, its not perfect, but it'll do me.
Lots of hand mixing, I got it done on my own for under 100 quid so no complaints about budget from wife. Took a day out to recover from it, not used to proper work nowadays.
Then I thought I could do with a permanent bike building bench, something solid to keep my pump up one free for servicing and its a bit short for some of my longer bikes. Luckily I had some slightly twisted beam offcuts from building the house stashed. I use the pump up one to lift the bike up to the height and roll onto this now, its a doddle to do one handed, I loaded my old aircooled gpz11 onto it last night sans assistance, and they're no lightweight butterfly. Just roll the bike into the overcentre wheel clamp at the end and then you can strap it up to stop it rolling out of it during heavy work at your leisure. I have a centre lift I can use on it to bring either end up to take wheels etc off. I'm really chuffed with it.
Floors done now, just waiting 30 days for the slurm to gas off then I can floor paint it, in the meantime summers well and truly here, and I'm still slumming it on a old honda xl600 big white pig all crusty from winter use where my real babies are all waiting for bits to be made.

Good work on the floor but I need to see the Gpz on that bench. I still have a slightly modified ZX1100 A2 stashed away in the garage, like you say far too personal to ever sell, it was the bike that attracted Mrs. ZX9 to ride pillion the first time we met.
I picked it up as a nail cheap just to play with, and it was a real dog, one of those ones that the more you strip, the worse it looks, covered in horrible repairs and bodges everywhere, but it was super cheap :-
Then after some fettling... Its a 1100b2 twin shock but I have a lightly worked over unitrack shim under bucket 1138 a2 engine in at the moment but there's yet another motor being built to go in eventually. All the special alloy bits were made in the shed. The mags cooler than a polar bears wotsits, but a bit of a pain to live with day to day as you end up having odd conversations about the "supercharger" with people and it doesnt like the wet much, on the plus side it starts easy and I've never managed to foul a plug.
Theres a fire up vid of it on megasquirt from years back too, its grown a twinspot bikini faring and I have some black annodized zx9r forks to go on in place of the gold ones, and I've got to crack on and finish modding a twin filler endurance style panel to suit a spare tank, but not really that changed since. :-

.....After selling my TL1000s a few weeks ago ive just got home after riding this gem 300 miles today to its new home

I had a friend with a 1200 triumph with top box and cases etc like that, r.i.p les (cancer got him a few years back). I'd be doing stupid speeds on my gpz turbo riding the knife edge of disaster that it was with stock brakes and forks and he'd be sat serenely alongside me on it. On a closed circuit y'understand ossifer.

And he'd be able to get off it at the journeys end. I used to just sort of fall off in a controlled manner. Especially the Bimota, that has to be the most uncomfortable long distance bike in the history of them. It's basically a short circuit racer with hard suspension and lights tacked on as a nod to legality, and we used to go to events hundreds of miles away. I'd be praying it didnt rain too, italian electrics meant it was exciting to ride in heavy rain, not knowing if you had 2,3 or 4 cylinders at any one instant...
