Bisaloy 700gr

Hi, old bloke here, first time using a forum.
Straight into it, i say.
Fabricated some cross members, 32mm flanges,25mm webs.
Material is 700gr, all fillets 8mm.
I have some gaps of around 3mm between 25mm stiffeners and the flanges on an angle, any suggestions about welding these gaps, GMAW 5/2 gas, 1.2mm CrNcMo solid wire.

Do you have a material certificate 3.1 or 3.2? I have searched for the supplier of this steel. Here it is indicated with this description: BISALLOY® STRUCTURAL 80 steel is manufactured in accordance with AS/NZS 3597 Grade 700.

In your thread you say it is CrNcMo, but that doesn't say much, you need to know what the yield strength is. I have an example here:
A 5.28: ER 100S-G, A 5.28: ER 110S-G/
16834-A: G 69 4 M21 Mn3Ni1CrMo

you need a code for your wire that tells you what composition your wire has. And whether you can weld your steel with this without problems.

your steel is Europe EN10025 S690

The consumables are set.
It's above my position, but I'm sure the material has all the relevant mill requirements and records as this is a recurring job.
I'm worried about the root run in that gap of 3mm in that restrained joint cracking.

Just re fab the stiffeners so that you don't have a 3mm gap.
You obviously must have fabricated it to a drawing, what does that show and does the math add up.
What about the weld procedure mate surely some pre heat etc
