Yesterday I spent the day helping out a friend with modifying his bike trailer. He wanted to graft in a wheel chock to aid him loading his track bike on his own. The trailer originally had a simple wire hoop to hold the front wheel to allow the bike to remain upright whilst you strap it down. This was very flimsy and not to be trusted.
I didn’t get many photos but here’s how it started:
And here’s the final result (my bike loaded as a test):
The idea is that the front clamp can be re-positioned up and down the supporting column to get the best hold depending on wheel and tyre size.
