As said insulated trunking makes a real difference, also any fittings/adaptors need to be smoothly angled and not just plain old Tees etc, ie streamlined.
I have an outlet approx 6/7 feet from the cdh 5kw and it melted the outlet, obviously thats because its crap quality plastic, but still shows the heat made it that far.
I have one t piece and that is also a reducer, second outlet is in front cabin which is another 8 feet away from the t piece and that is hot but nowheres near as hot as the insualted pipe run.
