As for the shell, is that casing 50mm? Oh, and you need a lathe in your life, it'd be SO easy making the projectile then....

The guy on the right?. Yes.

It's around 40mm, He said 37.5mm?
Not knowing artillery's, that was the hardest part for me getting something to scale with the right shape.

If I had that lathe going it would be pretty pricey to do something in brass.

I'm not with you , you have to have whatever material that is in order to shape the projectile, so the lathery would just make the job easier than filing?

google 40mm Bofors, you will get a complete round for under £15. Brass body etc.

Thanks mate, You are on the money @Feet 'n Inches did mention previously but I only found one reference with the taper to the projectile.
That was what will make it look a bit more like a 7.62mm.

I picked up some resin after trying different methods to get the quartz to bond.
The different varieties was a learn as well.

Also the taper is shaping up.

Side by side the original artwork the note is a tad bigger than the shell.
I will take out about 7mm out of the tube.
