I understand you do what the clients ask, old kit, does need replacing. But not convinced modern maintenance strategy, saves through lifecycle, in my experience just seems to delay spend hopefully until the budget is someone else’s problem.The Opex for steam is becoming unsustainable plus it is carbon intensive. With the redundancy already built in we are actually lowering maintenance costs throughout the lifecycle
Dangerous in this context relates to the operation and maintenance, it's an old technology, used because footprint Vs output was previously unmatched. It's had it's day and is being removed. We do what the client asks
