YES - just noticed it is turning!

It is almost like I have created a rivet - more by accident than design.

Remember I am far from an expert - still got loads of learning to do!

Listen to the guys on here, if you're new to this and they tell you it's not strong enough, then it's not strong enough

Good but I would agree to make sure the weld is involved with the edge of the hole. Fill that bad boy in. Grind it down flush if you wish

To me it looks like it's just welded in the centre I. Start in the centre then swirl round to melt the edge in plus counter sink
