Hi Rich,
Thank you very much for getting in touch, and sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Big Life Fix is a programme that we are developing with a major broadcaster that aims to use science & technology to improve the lives of families across Britain.
The idea is that we take an individual or family facing some sort of problem or obstacle in their lives. It could be that they live with a disability and are unable to do the things that they love, due to a lack of accessibility. Or it could be that a family has some sort of day-to-day difficulty affecting them that could be addressed using engineering/technology. The “Fix Team”, made up of talented designers, makers, technologists and other specialists, brainstorm and create something to help them fulfil whatever goal or ambition it is that they want to achieve.
We are hoping to get the green light to move ahead into production in the coming weeks, so we thought that now would be a great time to reach out and make connections with the sorts of people who might be able to help make these creations a reality.

I want to know why you're sniffing the dog's @r$e anyway, is it a bonding thing ? It sounds like they want someone with a problem and they are going to solve it for you not the other way round so you will have to cut your arm off or something so they can make you a new one.

Predominantly the fact that, this kind of programme is what the British public evidently must enjoy watching. Secondly, that they could possibly come up with a totally original invention when there are solutions out there looking for problems already.

Sounds interestingish, though prehaps I'd best not apply as I cant think of a problem that cant be fixed with hammer and or large trebuchet.

Just watched the three programmes they made. Worth a watch, and they didn't make anyone look like a dong (except for some of the hairstyles). On catch up on BBC. Big Life Fix with Simon Reeve.
