Mine is a good example of a reasonable quality machine - likely can no longer be marketed at a competitive price, against the cheap chinese carp, mind. Hence I bought it second hand for about a tenner.
As we are not really aware of the duty expected, it’s a bit difficult to guess very precisely.Mine works fine for sharpening cutting tools (not carbide), with the belts I use.
It won't be used for anything heavy duty. Mainly for prepping material for welding, grinding back welds, squaring off material, contouring etc.
If that's doing the job and not leaving you wanting, then it sounds like the ticket.I have one of these Kobe jobs, sold under different names afaik. Bought it 2nd-hand off the interweb for c £80 iirc. Robust and does the job for a typical [or am I atypical?] home user.

Mine came without the slide/angle thingy - I'm keeping an eye out for one which'll fit but without success so far.

I had an Aldi one , it migrated to scrap pile very quickly, underpowered and not fast enough belt, might have been ok for light wood work
Next step up from those generic 370w ones is something like this:
