Esab one is rebranded. Rhino clothing or something like that. Future Garments or something perhaps. I forget. What’s the best affordable welding jacket I’m fed up of burning through “flame retardant” overalls and hoodies every few weeks
where did it come from , i cant get a xxxl jacket thats big enough any where and i need long sleeves , most i try on must come from china as xxxl equates to about a medium.View attachment 214820 Got this for my workman, apart from long arms he likes it,seems well made, from zorro tools, less than £30 posted.
i find the zips are plastic and melt then stop working , and the stitching burns through ,, and the linings are too hot ,, tried that route too .Charity shops, are a very good source of leather/suede jackets at very low prices, Just got to drop lucky on one of your visits,
many thanks ,, my boc sourced one is in bits , its silver leather , or was , its now pure black and ive glued patches on the patches the left arm upper thats used as a prop is four layers thick in places and the press studs have been replaced with hooks made from bronze rods ,, but its been a faithful old companion.I've had good luck with a few of these....

Theyre second hand but Euro sizings so you know what youre getting and hes pretty good describing wear and what theyre made from. I think theyre from a workwear contractor as they generally have logos on. Mine are both German companies, but Nomex. God for the price. I dont use them day in day out as I'm always in overalls but if i'm doing overhead stuff or its too hot to wear overalls when I'm not actually welding then they come out.

perfect , i dropped them an email to see if they would measure one up for me , if needs be ill buy one of their aprons too and use it as sleeve extensions ,,, its not a fashion show as long as it works , im tempted to take my old one apart draw round it and make a pattern for a new one , but i would need to find a few old sofas to get the leather ,,, still , things are quiet at the moment ,,, lol
Im collecting sofa bits at the moment to do the exact same thing. Ill take whats left of my old jacket apart and draw round it for the pattern , just add an inch or two to the sleeves ,,, Love to say Id take an inch or two off the waist , but after furlough , I may have to add elastic ....I used my mum's old sofa to make mine
Just ordered 1 of these as it was cheap. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Coversaf...199659?hash=item420ecda4eb:g:WbcAAOSwkEFd-6mWwhere did it come from , i cant get a xxxl jacket thats big enough any where and i need long sleeves , most i try on must come from china as xxxl equates to about a medium.
