Hi all,
I wont bore you with too much of the back story as I'm going to put a thread up in the projects section at some point, but basically my car has rails which run up the length of the floor pan to strengthen it.
Before my ownership some numpties have jacked on these rails and crushed them and in doing do bent the floor.
You will see what I mean in the pictures below but I need to know the best way to approach straightening out he floor before welding the new rails on.
There is the obvious answer of smack it with a big hammer but I'm fairly certain that will make quite a mess, lots of ripples? I can get a slide hammer if that might do a better job? What do you fine fellows suggest?
You can see in pic 3 just how bent the floor is, about an Inch from where it should be
