so i need to join 3 seperate peices of steel my first plan pic 1 was to mitre them
but the hole is/would be right on the mitred join pic is not to scale of course
so i was then thinking pic 2 maybe cut the first peice at a 45 degree just in front of the hole and then cut another peice of box at 45 degree and sit it on top of the 75x50 rhs the 45 angle would line up from the bottom to the top is this much weaker than the mitred joint ? would be getting a gusset plate either side of the joined section and the end closed of as part of the strengthening/gusset plates
