I have a couple of wood buildings, tongue and groove. Right now the wood is so dry it is pulling gaps between the planks on the cheap shed. Is it best to leave it until the summer heat as gone and a little moisture gets into the wood before I slather on my No Nonsense Screwfix wood treatment and seal it?

! I just bought some 8' fence posts and sent some of them back; deep, long splits on every side and more knots than I could count.
