Best thing to cut box profile cladding

Hello all.
Quick question, probably a bit obvious to most of you, but what is the best thing to use to cut box profile cladding sheets? I have been using a 6" grinder with slotting disks but I'm going through them like mad, would I be better off with a jigsaw? I don't have a compressor at the moment so it will have to be something electric.

i have found an angle grinder the best thing as a jigsaw is hard to use on the corrugations.
i used a 9" though with a standard cutting disc

a Sabre or Reciprocating Saw would probably work though, and give a better finish than the grinder if your bothered about the few mm of burnt paint the grinder gives

Well they are used sheets so are a bit tatty anyway, they are lining sheets but I'm using them to fill the gap on the outside between the concrete panels and the roof where I have raised it. They will be covered in timber cladding anyway.

I just use a 9" most of the time. The majority of the time the edge is covered by flashings or whatever anyway.

If its composite panels, a 9" Rage saw does pretty well, on the thicker ones, you need to cut from both sides though, but its still quick.

I cut mine with a 9" grinder too, I was surprised how little damage it did to the finished edge, hardly marked the remaining sheet paint/surface.

Obviously make sure it's decent quality thin cutting disc, some of the cheaper cutting discs are quite thick, probably because they are not made as well and require the thickness to stop them breaking up under stress

Slitting disc don't last I think this is because the sheet is so thin. Sabre saws you end up with it either tearing the sheets or the blade staying still and you and the gun vibrating

I use either a circular saw, or a stihl saw

Actually I think I have some cutting disks for my 9 inch grinder. Will give it a whirl tomorrow.

9" angle grinder is what I used too, piece of 3/4" thick plywood on the floor under the cut area.

Charlies Deeside sell very thin 9" discs I use them all the time, and when worn to 5" they go in the smaller grinder.

Charlie's are great, they sell everything! I'll have a look in there, need to get some sawdust for the rabbits anyway.

far better off cutting with 9 inch or preferably 12 inch metal cutting blades. the smaller ones wont last 5 mins on profile sheets
