Best supplier of cut to size 0.5 copper sheet

looking at a small bussiness idea for my son. We need a cheap supplier of copper sheet and possibly ally in future any ideas?

I recently got a sheet of 2mm brass sheet €385 plus carriage. They stock copper also but
there on other side of pond.I.m sure you.ll find a company doing it.

If its small sizes you can often get scrap 22mm copper pipe, slit it along its length and flatten out, 22mm will give around 65mm width flattened.

Older cylinders may be thick enough... But many modern ones are very thin and flimsy. Depends what you are making.

I get my 0.55mm copper from Kennions http://www.glrkennions.co.uk/ Their biggest stock size is only 300 x 300mm but they say they will cut to size.

Thanks thats a good start. Initially it looks like we need blanks 0.5mm thick and 160 x 90mm, must be new as its for manufacture of a product

not sure about cutting to size as we just buy 2x1 sheets. Most stockholders will cut up for free if you buy enough or just a small one off charge if you don't require that much.

Edit, just seen you require 160x90mm. is that the finished profile, or do you do more work to the blank?

When we did the copper roofs on the two extensions I bought a 50m roll of 0.7mm copper 600mm wide that was sold by weight, I can most probably find the company I bought it from if you want.

One day when you have an hour to spend I will tell you about the product I had in my head for many years, finally I designed, prototyped, sourced, manufactured, web site built, oh and then my only competitor claimed design right infringement, knowing he was a big company and I was a Fred in a shed, so whilst I would win, it would cost a years profit to do so, so its on a back burner for the next couple of years.
This is a product made by a few specialist craft people, My son and I have had a good look at it and we feel we can produce and equal quality but automate a few stages, he will then do a few craft fairs selling them, but we have to buy components ate the correct price and quality, he is only 17 but keen to set up a business to earn a few quid whilst doing his A levels.

I have also bought from Noggin End Metals. Their C101 sheet is 0.45 or 0.55mm and has protective film on both sides.

I don't know whereabouts you are, but my vote would be for Spectrum alloys in Stoke on T. I use them for stainless and ally but my mate has copper from them.
Small firm who are nice to deal with and they will crop sheets to your sizes , they don't like doing angled cuts through.

Have you thought about buying in shaped profiles from a laser/waterjet/punch supplier? that's if your going to cut more shapes out?
