Hi I recently picked up a 2005 Ford Transit MK6, I love it to bits but its got a fair bit of rust on sills and around the wheel arches. I've done a bit of MIG welding in the past (5 years ago) and figured I might as well invest in a good MIG welder so I can sort it out myself and maintain the inevitable future rusting that will no doubt occur (curse the transits).
Currently I am looking for a MIG welder:
- gas and no gas(flux core)
- Amps 150min, (and can go down to 30 atleast)
- Eurotorch
- auto wire feed
My budget is around 400-500 max (just sold a car so have some cash)
currently looking at a GYS SmartMIG 162
Any advice on whether this is the right spec for the job, and also what are some good welders that comply with this. Any help would be much appreciated cheers
