Got Stanley me on the spanner side of things, which is rare as i tend to buy draper expert. Can't fault them, plenty strong and really well finished. Nice to handle too.
Yep; a couple of years ago when I started filling the gaps, I bought some Lidl and Aldi spanners and they've been perfectly serviceable. Nothing has broken or worn out and they all fit well enough, even if the finish is a bit variable on some of them.Spanners I have a mix, mostly of Lidl and Aldi (many surprisingly made by decent german makers under lidl/aldis branding), never broken any as yet and cheap enouugh to have several on hand / not worry about cutting one apart / welding bits on to make a custom tool from
Ratchets - 1/4 and 3/8 halfords advanced, 1/2" - Facom 161PB pear heads (ace and no matter how hard I push, never feel like they are at any risk of failing, whgen funds allow the 3/8 and 1/4 are on my shopping list
Sockets - Torq (BnPoo - very impressed by them and have survived several meetings with a high power electric impact (>650Nm), price also very very good), Halfords Advanced, Sealey
