@badabec I would use a wire wheel on a grinder for that job personally
At some point I will need one of those to remove underseal and rust from the underside of my Beta. Hopefully more underseal than rust, before anyone else says it...There’s a tool designed for the job but I can’t remember what it’s called. Imagine a grinder with the head turned 90 degrees and the disc is a wheel with wire ‘claws’ sticking up from it.

all a good choice u get what u pay for a quality one will last u a lifetime . I got a bosch one when they 1st came out and used it 10 years at work before it gave out I use saxton blades the japanese type . buy 20 and there peanutsI have a fein one, the guys that invented them its nice dosent vibrate your hand off either unlike some of the copies, bosch, dewalt, makita and metabo are all pretty safe bets too id expect, more experienced people than me will be along soon too shed more light on the subject.
