Best buy AC/DC tig welder for £1000

I have been searching for the best buy AC/DC tig welder for £1000. So far I have found only a couple I like the look of but this one worries me.

TIG WELDER

It has no brand name that I can see and I am reluctant to buy something that might be unreliable and cost me a lot of cash in repairs.

Do any of you guys know anything of this machine? Or indeed know of a good buy for £1000 new or second hand?

Couple of guys on the forum have bought them from me under the Portamig name. I offer a two year warranty on Portamigs which is worth at least £300 on an Inverter based machine.
I was shocked to see just this week that the same machine is now being offered under various other guises. BEWARE! that 'other' machine is being supplied direct from the factory without Portamig's own modifications, and word is there has been a 50% failure rate on the direct 'grey imports'!!
Portamig's version has had many modifications done by their own UK design specialists and that is backed up by their comprehensive warranty, 100% ex-stock spare parts availability & expert technical support.

I'm probably one of the guys Weldequip is talking about and I am very happy with the machine and the service too. I went the whole hog and ordered the footpedal but you would not regret buying the machine without it and upgrading at a later date if funds are tight.

Easily done!! Took me a while to notice! There do seem to be quite a few of us on here now with the 206i... perhaps we should share our favourite settings for different materials (I will throw mine in once I have actually used it!!).
