Not even something this big ?it's 36mm thick, I doubt a hammer will do anything?

How long will it take to get it red hot? And how many times do you need to do it? And what's the duty cycle of your tig at full chat? Not enough amps?
No. Too much temperature, not enough heat. You’d just end up burning a hole in a small spot.Sadly I don't have oxy gear. I wonder if 255amp tig would do it?
they will just cut you another section of 36mm sheet
Could well be.I gather it's just a bit of gash hot rolled 35mm plate? Certainly looks like the edges you'd get on a stock plate.
Will a bit of welding warp 36 mm sheet? Serious questionThen weld on the legs , Weld warps it and repeat thread
Your asking the wrong person I'm just making silly comments here. I'm sure it would warp it somehow but how much would probably take a degree and a lot of maths effort and I am missing bothWill a bit of welding warp 36 mm sheet? Serious question
Phew, I’m also in the making silly comments campYour asking the wrong person I'm just making silly comments here. I'm sure it would warp it somehow but how much would probably take a degree and a lot of maths effort and I am missing both
I vaguely remember someone on here saying that it can. The legs are seriously hefty so must have used a fair number of amps to weld it.Will a bit of welding warp 36 mm sheet? Serious question
Not if he borrows my 80amp sealey mig. Then weld on the legs , Weld warps it and repeat thread
Yes.Will a bit of welding warp 36 mm sheet? Serious question
