Will I be able to bend this kind of tube ok with the clarke type tube bender? I am making a replacment exhast for my L200 and need to bend the tube to go up and over the chassis https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1m-lengt...383108?hash=item4a9f8cc684:g:lpEAAOSwF11dysG1
They aren’t not called a toob kinkers for nothing. All depends on degree of bend. Fill it with sand, might work
It usually is, but done right it works really well. Typically you'll have 3 or 4 sections just to curve over an axle. That's why quality custom stainless exhausts are purged and TIG welded, ends up without any flow restriction or turbulence. https://exhaustpartsuk.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=88_1588_1331 TBH when I messed around with cars before I got a TIG welder I used to bodge it all up with MIG, and I always got good power from my engines on the dyno and 1/4 mile...
Have a read then multiply problems for bigger pipe with thinner wall https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/katsu-heavy-duty-tube-bender.100602/#post-1555186
I believe Simmons and Powersprint (and other companies as well) do completely pre bent section for going over an axle.
