Bench shears - what should i buy?

So, ive succumbed to the idea that i need some.

Some of you might recall i was looking at pneumatic shears for cutting up alloy scrap, and im just not sure that will work.

So a bench shear it is.

I normally buy tools used, as old used kit is normally way better than new at any price point. Same with bench shears? Or should i just go with one of the usual suspects, and get it delivered direct to my door without any messing about?

dont buy from Screwfix or the likes, bought the biggest I could get....made from bent m/steel plate...
absol rubbish...
found a very old tiny thing which did the job for a while.....
bought a big'un from a French car boot, 25euros....honestley cant pick it up....
it came with a 2m scaf pole to use it.....it's bolted to my fettling bench which weigh's 1/3 ton....

seen a decent German made one, it will cut 12mm rod as well (has 2 holes in the blade and anvil)
but it was €450 euros....
