Good job, I always bin them horrible, useless tool rests off my grinders , its easy to make decent adjustable replacement so you can set to a specific angle.
That's actually why I got into welding, I got this about 2 years ago (Christmas or birthday, can't remember) and I wanted an adjustable table for it so I thought; instead of spend £30 on one form eBay, I could spend £500+ on welding gearGood job, I always bin them horrible, useless tool rests off my grinders , its easy to make decent adjustable replacement so you can set to a specific angle.
I'm gonna build a belt grinder and be done with this thing.
Get a green stone on it for sharpening your tungstens
No advantage using a green stone for tungsten electrodes, they are designed for tungsten tooling, an aluminium oxide wheel is just fine, cheaper, and will last longer
love the old bit of chassis re appropriated as a stand for your anvil etc.... what's it off of.....This is how i've mounted two of mine to save spaceView attachment 57916 View attachment 57917

that's my kind of recycling mate, love it.Iveco I think, the grinders are bolted to a piece. I use them for all sorts. My patio's made from them, the woods off cuts of wisedeck and the galv is of cuts from runners.

it looks a bit that way . it would be better mounted on a piece of tree trunk stapled on 2 foot of the deck. wood reduces the shock when its been hit with a rather large hammerFrom how I am seeing the picture, is the anvil used at what appears a rather high altitude to me?

I showed my dad, he said "Anyone can make something complicated, it takes a genius make something simple".Maker, that is called lateral thinking.
Some people can do it, some can't. Reversing the base is such an obvious that I bet nobody has thought of it.
This is how I have mine mounted no it isn't I have lost the photo.
Tell your dad I must be a genius then. I cant make anything that is complicated ....I can only do simple things lolI showed my dad, he said "Anyone can make something complicated, it takes a genius make something simple"![]()

Does that left table rotate through 360 or just 180??
