I have the Clarke CDP10B and it's handy but really gutless. I can't recommend you one but I wouldn't buy the one I have.

One bit of advice.
Make sure you are well covered with design and manufacture insurance for any liabilities.
Have a full set of stress calcs done by a professional.
Have comprehensive fitting and safety instructions.
If you don't have that don't make any as it can be a mine field often not worth the money you are making, that's exactly why we stopped making them.

Mostly be for friends to be honest and I'll cover myself by stating on purchasing and giving a signed receipt saying the bumpers are for cosmetic look only and not for any recovery work.

Now I am playing Devils Advocate here but only trying to help, but.
I doubt that would cover you if you are seen as a manufacturer in the eyes of the law.
Its highly unlikely but a real head ache if you did end up with a claim, the legal costs alone would shut you down

But if you was to make something then not fit it? The customer bolts it on surely there liable?

Ive got a cheapy Ferm one at home that was given to me. I wouldn't have paid the purchase price.
Useless for anything over about 8mm, just hasn't got the guts. Barely drill 13mm holes in hardwood. Dont even bother trying a hole saw bigger than about 20mm either.
I find it easier to just use a pistol drill with well sharpened bits.

No manufactures Liable.
Reverchon springs to mind.
Made a roller coaster for a customer, killed some one Manufacturer got fined, went bust closed down etc
I have had a bit of a fall out with a friend as I will no longer fix his commercial winches as I carry no public liability insurance for this so legalally it would be foolish as in the event of an accident I may be blamed

You mean, as in the drill press vice? As PDG says, clamp it differently - a fair selection of G-clamps can be your friend here.
