I have purchased a timing belt for the lathe,I wanted to relocate the motor because the mounting wasn't ideal.
so I purchased a new belt of the bay,I counted the amount of teeth on old belt as a guide to buying a new belt with more teeth, the old belt is 73 teeth so I selected the nearest in the sellers list he had which was 78 teeth, turned up today slighty too big(have not counted the teeth)
how do actually get the size right when selecting a timing belt? I'll count the teeth now but I'm thinking the belt has been miscalculated as having 78 teeth? and is a mistake on sellers part>?
