My big old Makita Belt sander (9404) suddenly came over all feeble the other day.
Would not switch on and when running felt like a silver line toy.
I guessed Brushes. Took them out. One is twice the length of the other so they are worn.
it has come back to life now but I figure best to replace them.
I cant see makita ones to fit and there are umpteen makes at various prices.
Are they much of a muchmess?
The originals have gone one for well over ten years.I'm happy to pay more for genuine.
But are they just a bit of pencil lead on a spring really?
