belt /finger sanders...belt desctructs in no time

The only issue I have had with the finger sanders is if you use too coarse a belt (like 40 grit).

Same here...I stick with 80 or finer as they seem to last longer. Also I tend to knock the welds down with a blue flap disc and then use the finger file for the final finishing.

I bought some fibreglass reinforced packaging tape to see if I can reinforce the joins on my duff belts...ha vent tried if it works yet.
