Beko fan oven repair

Ok so I have a beko built in fan oven , the model number doesn't come up on the beko spares website , I e mailed them and no reply . I suspect it might be supplied by Howdens as the rest of the kitchen is by them .
Anyway the problem is the fan is catching on the element that surrounds it , the metal ,"clips" aren't holding the elements which distort with the heat ,
The model number for what it's worth is OIF 22301 XR

I'm guessing a generic element will do it says 1800 watt and some other numbers on it , ?

If the element is working ok can't you just cut the fan down a bit?

Cheers for the replies gents , I've ordered an element from your link Newlands .
I'm sure cutting down the fan would of solved the problem but nah ,I wouldn't be able to bring myself to butcher it

Probably not "balanced" balanced, but almost certainly better than it would be after butchering.

I'd be tweaking the angle of dangle of the elements - the fan doesn't look central.

Fan in the back of mine has failed twice now - there's a bit of leeway in the mounting holes to move it around a bit.

It's the cheapy elements

New ones fitted in cookers do tend to last a few years knock off elements I replace quite a lot a year later

It's a bit like cars exhausts original last years Halford replacments last 3 ir 4 years

You don't actually have to cut the fan, just bend the tips on in with a pair of pliers.

Or, spin it up and hold a flap disk against it and you won't upset the balance much.

Or could you toughen up those clips a bit?
Maybe make some new ones with a bit of 3.2mm stainless tig filler?
Or, even a few rivnuts in the back panel of the oven in a circle around the inside of the element then put some bolts in to act as studs to stop the element closing in.
If you have access to both sides you could just use nuts/bolts if you don't have rivnuts

The ones I've seen are just a bit of pressed steel not heavy enough to need balancing. I'd look for the shiny bit that catches and whip it off without worrying about balance.

All fixed new element fitted , probably had about 3 years use but I never did rate Beko stuff .had a fridge that expired after about 6 years .
You can see the old element was well distorted , I did bent it back to shape but after a month it was catching again .

none of those elements last long no matter what the make. they will be all bashed out at a factory and distributed to the various makers
