Hi Folks
For us beginners could this plasma torch wheel guide be used or modified to enable us to maintain that perfect arch distance from work piece to tungsten until we used to the welder and all its settings.
I'm using a Stahlwerk Ac/dc 200 amp with foot pedal.
100% argon
First 50 welds were a mess but after 100 4 inch long test welds on scrap alu I'm starting to get there, I'll upload a photo later.
These plasma guides could also be made for internal and external corners with a bit of tinkering.
I'm going to buy this and modify it to fit my torch to see if it works.
I think this would take out one of the main parameters so we can focus on the other stuff like all the settings dialed in to the sweet spot for each welding situation in aluminium.
As said I'm a beginner and just though 'I wonder if this would work'
Regards
John
