What budget welder can I buy?
Typo, 0.9mmBeginner welder for 0.9m. car bodywork? Budget
Can you explain the 0.9m?
You need to watch Urchfab a YouTuber and see his welding of cars. He's very good . The kit he uses is not cheap
I know the feeling ,,, I seldom want to do half the things I get roped into ,, but its a lot easier to have a bit in reserve than not ,,,Another vote for the clarke 90.Both of the 150's I had before would blow holes in car bodywork whereas the 90 welds it nicely, even better I bought it for less than £100 secondhand. In the 10 years I've had it I've never wanted to make shelves or gates and I never want to weld stuff for other people.
no harm in having a bit in reserve ,,, theres a reason cheap low power machines are cheap.Pretty sure my 90 would do a garden gate fine, home users don't need an industrial set up for making lorry chassis, poster says he wants to weld thin panels and it will do that fine
yeah doesnt hurt if you have the money...all im saying it was probably me asking the same 10+ years ago and its done me proud , i havent needed more power yet , it does suitable welds on car bodys like what i wanted and isnt any issue on household elec or extension leads etcno harm in having a bit in reserve ,,, theres a reason cheap low power machines are cheap.
