Well i bought my self a nice new Baileighs powered bead roller lovely bit of kit only problem is i assumed i would be able to adapt all the dies from my chinese ebay one to use on this one but there way to small in diameter so no good and at £30 per set its going to be costly to replace all the ones i have got..

So guess its time i got to grips with the lathe sat in the unit and make atleast the simple ones.

Forget the bead roller Is that a Minivan to the right? My first set of wheels, back in '66.... AH, nice memories.. Tweeked it do about 95, along with grafting an 1100 engine in. Many bruised knuckles...

BTW, you do sweep up often. Might be crowded, but tidy. Impressed.

Yes that it is not mine a customers. There are few more mini lurking in there as well, sweep the floor a few times a day

I can't see much floor in there, it's a bit full. Are they giant VWs or is it a small Cobra body on that roof ?

the cobra is a project i started many years ago for one of my boys he has out grown it so will be for his little brother if i ever get it done
was using the fibreglas shell as a buck to make an ali body

There is a mini pickup, xr31 then a
mini clubman estate a Tuktuk in the booth

Mini van, clubman estate and Moggy van on top of the booth
Plus all the stuff that’s easy to see

You would get on with a bloke down the road, he is restoring a VW pickup. He got me to weld in a new rear chassis as he wasn't experienced enough. Which reminds me, I saw a crewcab pickup parked in a back garden the other day. Must let him know.

When I was in the aircraft business, we were rebuilding a couple of Piper Super Cubs, ex Belgium Army, as glider tugs. The owner was the Cambridge Jag/Daimler dealer. He used to lend me the odd car, including an new XJ12C and a V12 E-Type. Offered me the E at 30% off. Not my cuppa, apart from the fuel consumption

picked up some bar for the dies

it a bit big but price was right going to take some some work on the lathe will get some more closer to the finished size at some point
