Royal Institution Christmas Lectures (from 8pm tonight)
Don't know if anyone else watches these (seems to be a christmas tradition for me), but they are science demonstrations for children, in a way that makes science interesting. Ive been watching these for years. Tonight's edition is about batteries and if its possible to power a mobile phone for a year.
at the start of the programme they demonstrated the power of batteries they attempted to do some arc welding using a couple of 12v batteries.
