hi guys cant belive im getting problems with this boiler only 6 months later after the last time

any ideas looking on line its the temp stat

any more cheaks i can do or fault testing before i call gas man

yes ive done the google thing just wanted more info from a pro so i can give a better description than e110 error

What Baxi?

If it's GA Duotec then it's the gas valve and or PCB

If it's not a GA then it's the high limit stat so either faulty stat (my first choice) pump or a blockage in the system

Former Baxi approved engineer in case you wondered

i had an boiler guy here yesterdsay and guess what the system worked

well not well but some started heating and hot water but the noise out the system was not good infact he said dont run it

and whats wrong im not sure even he knows the the diver valve is ok as switchess over we do get hot water so hes ruling out heat exchanger big and small and the pump runs
the only thing he said was the pipe under the boiler was very hot and the heat is not getting away as much as it should and its the pump but to buy a 2nd hand pump as i dont think he convinced him self let alone me

dont bother fitting a second hand one. more trouble than what there worth unless its virtualy new. been there and got the teeshirt . will be worth flushing the system while your at it as well

Pipe under boiler red hot sounds like pump to me, I'd be swapping the head with a new one

worth spending the money on a proper baxi verson or just a cheapy head ?

boiler guy fitted a 2nd hand pump was near worse than the first so it did give us the idea it was the pump at fault id got fed up with no shower so paid a for a new off the shelf at plenty of money and now got a working hot water and heating
at least i wont get my ear bent from other half any more

British Gas told me I needed a full power flush and loads of copper pipe replacing, to stop the wierd noises and bangs.

Local plumber sold me a £20 bottle of system treatment, and 10 years
after it was still going well.

it was the pump dying just not throwing the water round as fast as needed

i need to do a flush over the summer and refill but ive put extra inhibitor in over the 7 years its been going for


can you put in to much inhibitor ?
