I've had this for several decades!

It makes a dead short and discharges a bad battery very quickly, A good battery heats those insulator plates up so that you could fry an egg on them!

I have one of these seems to work genuinely well. Not let me down ounce and always come back to similar conclusions with my own tests. Will even do a print out for you.

My 2014 Seat Altea still has the original battery fitted and clutch but the gearbox final drive has let go big style!!

Through the years i've only ever had old cars and never had a gearbox break, The last two cars I bought much newer have both gone with a bang! (Last one was a Honda Civic!), Makes me think that they're designed to go early so they can try to hit you for a couple of grand!!
