Can honestly say, that's one thing I'd not like a pocketful of. That'd be agony.
The new growth - when cut for cuttings - is just at the point it joins the older "wood" - there are no spines on the new growth. Easy painless theft...
Little dab in "rooting hormone powder" and it grows roots from the joint between spring growth and last years woody bit...
You need to strip most the leaves off the cutting as these cause cutting to dry out - trying to support the leafs - I leave just one small leaf on every cutting.
Chopping things down is easy - growing new things is the real skill...

This sounds like me. Living alone, it does come in handy.I can easily go through several hedgecutter tanks worth of fuel in a day.
