I've had my original 5ah battery 3 years now & it was secondhand when I purchased it. Still going strong & not showing signs of slowing down. I don't use mine every week, But run them until the tool won't run. Then full charge.what batteies LI ones?
I thought LI batteries did not need to be run down all the way before charging?I've had my original 5ah battery 3 years now & it was secondhand when I purchased it. So no problems from my experience
never bother totally flattening mine before charging and they get used every dayI thought LI batteries did not need to be run down all the way before charging?
interesting.....dont you just turn down the torque setting though ?

I don't think soThat was my impression too, have we been wrong?
Bill, is that the milwaukee you program with your phone ?
Yes.
On the impact wrench you're able to set the power for the four different settings on the tool. Set the speed, torque, make it slow down once it's loosened to avoid the nut spinning across the workshop (designed for wheelnuts). You can use it to track tools and I think they can be disabled if they're stolen.

comes in handy if it gets pinched though unless its turned off or edited by software
Hmmmm, so all I need to do now is buy a singing and dancing £400 upwards phone, which I will probably break in my pocket when I crouch down, if not get the phone out spend 15 minutes trying to get the app ....you see where this is going .
Obviously this kit is great for some using the impact for specific jobs, race car teams and so on, but for your average Joe out in a field in the pouring rain trying to get say a tractor/trailer sorted aand back earning its keep, not so sure, but a lot of peoples do like kit they can play with I realise, no I dont mean that sarcastically, also a lot no doubt will make it earn its keep if its a thing you will use in your line of work regular.
As for the built in tracking/disable function, that is excellent, hopefully useable on your lap top as well as mobile, now that is really worthwhile tech.
I'm hoping that the settings are adjustable close to the torque needed for my wheel bolts, which will be the most important use I foresee. I've never had a 'small' torque wrench and have just used the bent wire thingy supplied with the car(s) for undoing/retightening wheel bolts or nuts. I've never had a wheel come off in 55 years of vehicle ownership [I know...never say never ] If I need to, I'll monitor what setting the wrench needs to be at, having checked it with my neighbour's torque wrench.
However, I'm getting more puny with age and am all for making my life easier now, tbh I struggle to carry the weight of an alloy and tyre combo , which is why I bought a 'cart' from Costco
Watch this space......
