Personally I just measure the draw, look for the heat with a FLIR, see if there's a spike etc. For the rare occasion I'd need to actually log an intermittent drain it doesn't justify a logger.

Crazy ideas Italian stuff was much worse than the general rubbish sold by all manufacturers at the time is why I've owned some stonking cars that I'd never have been able to afford if they hadn't been slagged off
