Battery Charger Wiring

Hi All, battery on my slice refused to arc up a rod yesterday. Left it on charge all night, still showing low on the gauge this morning.

I always feared this unit was wired for 110v even though it had a 230V plug. So I opened up the box.

Someone had removed the link between pins 2 & 4 on the plug.

So I've been plugging unit in and it probably hasn't been taking a charge if I'm reading the diagram right? Because the ends of the two 120VAC coils would not be joined?

If I am Reading this diagram right, now I've added the link between 2&4 I should have 13.6VDC across wire 16 and wire 6.

But I don't I've got nothing.

How do I test the transformer?

If I put my tester across 2&4 with 230V going to pin 1 & 3, I should expect to see 230V correct?

What's the rating of the charger?
Might be easier and cheaper to connect a 5A intelligent SMPS charger unit up to replace the fried one?

(Yes, with ac connected you should measure your mains supply voltage across 3&4, and your dc output across 5 & 6. Note some chargers won't show an output without a connected battery load)

It's for an air arc slice which goes onsite so no can do with the bodge together method. I did think that though.

Right I've replaced the tracks and now between Pins 1&4 on the transformer I have 240V and between pins 1&2 I've hot 67V. Between pin 3&4 I've got 12.5V so I'm guessing transformer is fried
