battery adapter needed

im having a little issue finding a battery adapter for my new vacuum. the vax onepwr i think are the same as hoover onepwr but not only are the linked adapters the only ones i can find, they are expensive and out of stock...

just be carefull when using adaptors as they mostly dont have any battery protection parts so if you run the battery to low or use for to long and over heat the battery

im sure most on here would if using them selves it would be ok

Many tools wont work if you try a simple adaptor on them, could take some investigation. I couldnt get a cheap Greenworks brushed orbital sander to play so cut out the speed controller and put one from a dead Ferrex tool.

As an aside, at least the +&- are on the same side on the Makita and VAX batteries so no pita "crossover" detail.

Bonus detail...the adapter will need "blades" to go into the Makita battery and "blades" to go into the VAX tool so no messing with spring "finger" connectors hopefully.

Unusual on the VAX batteries where they have delicate spring fingers rather than sturdy, rigid blades.

Possible that the adapter will "just" need simple, bent copper tabs.

Interestingly, (well to me anyway ), the +&- on the Makita are symmetrical to the battery. They are not symmetrical though on the VAX tool.

Not measured them yet. It'd be too much to hope, for at least one side allow a simple, "straight through" tab from tool to battery without having to bend the tab in some way.

Ah well, keeps the grey matter ticking over.

In the hedge trimmers, the battery sticks out the bottom and is a bit exposed. Hadly used them and one is already quite scratched up.
