Hi guys,
I am stripping down this Clio 172 Cup for a rebuild. It is currently track spec but a but rough so I want to tidy it up and make it nice and fresh again.
I plan on respraying and getting mixed opinions about whether or not I should strip this down to metal and build up the layers from there (filler, primer, base, clear).
Is it strongly recommended to get back to metal? I want the best possible chance of a great finish and I don't mind it takes an extra 10/20 hours to sand the paint back.
What would you recommend? A palm sander with what grit?
Thanks
(P.S. I realise i've just jumped in asking loads of questions here -- i'll head over to introductions now )
