Bare Metal and old painted metal.

I have a box made out of steel that's been extended and lengthened over the years.
Recently had a large addition to the roof sides and back. Plus a new part to the door.

I need to coat it with something before I put light green cellulose on it. (To match site rules on colour)

So what would be best to cover bare metal and smooth hammerstein.
God knows what the dark green on the door our under neath the white hamerite is, to be honest.

I can spray if needed but due to weather (wind) (and rain) I need to get it done quickly. So a roller or large brush might be a better solution.

Yep I was thinking of that. . But its big enough to fit a LARGE electric scooter in it.

It's the primer and top coat I am really trying to establish..

I use Blackfriar primer on my engines and pumps, 2 coats followed by 2 coats of top coat and it's very hard wearing.

Could you put cellulose over blackfriar red oxide?

Epoxy primer, mastic or lite, brush, roll or spray would be my preference.
Put what ever you want on it after it cures (a bit)

Sorry, I don't know as I use machine enamel over it, maybe contact Blackfriar tech dept.?

I use Craftmaster or Paragon but I suspect you're not looking for a show finish.

Cheers mate. I had actually found it. Bit of a strange website but once you work it out you realise they even mix colours from a massive chart
All I am doing now is to try and find a discount code.

the onl;y colour they dont do is myford grey had to get it from paragon 34 quid as against `18 quid from smith and allen the colour was near enough but i wanted the original to match the rest of machine
