Bandsaw

I was talking to a bricky the other day and he mentioned saws. I said that I had a bandsaw that cuts to within a tenth of a millimetre.

That wouldn't be any good for me he said. My bricks have to be spot on.



Seriously, Once set up they only cut out when the blade get blunt, hence use bi-metal m42.

Ah! So that's what they look like when they're clean.

I bought this second hand quite cheaply. It had a sort of rattle noise that turned out to be the key in the gear box/belt pulley had fell out.
I think he was trying to pull a fast one, but hey, the worm has turned.

The 20mm deep blade is infinitely better than the smaller generic bandsaws, and built in coolant and hydraulic feed are a must have.
I always use bi-metal blades as anything else is false economy. My saw has no name but just a number on the ID plate. If Googled
this comes up as a Chinese company (surprise surprise) that will sell you a minimum of 50 units. I assume you then pop a few transfers
on or respray in your company colour scheme.

I wouldn't be without this tool. Used every day and cleaned every year whether it needs it or not.

Beefy looking thing compared to mine. It reminds me I keep meaning to get mine on casters to be able to drag it out

Right guys...i am calling myself all sorts of names this morning...i realised why my pivot point casting broke...some faffing idiot forgot to undo the grub screws that hold the pins....yes I know..a complete faffing tool..i thought I unscrewed them. Anyway I have had a close look at it's broke in two places...not the end of the world as far as repairs go...

The steel casters at the front are slightly lower than the back wheels.

It didn't used to drain and the tray would end up with an oily sludge in it after the water in the soluble oil had evaporated.
