A good speed is 80-100 sfm (surface feet per min), or in new money about 24-30 M/min.
You need to know the diameter of your pulleys to get rpm, pi*D (in M) and divide 24 by the result and that will give you your motor spindle speed (since mine is calibrated in rpm, not m/min surface speed).
You want a really really fine blade for sheet material though. the finer the better so you can have as many teeth in it at any one time as you can.
