No one's asked yet - What are you cutting and how much? For the general 'hobby' use, cutting softer steels, etc, and being used now and then, the MM are ok. For harder steels, stainless, etc, then I find they don,t last at all.
I got some good Hakinnson blades made. The Starret flex back blades also last ages.

True no one has asked what he is cutting but that is more a case of ordering blades of a suitable pitch for both the material hardness and width, can always contact Tuff saws for advise, not something you can do at Tool Fix.

That's a very defamatory statement, would you like to back that up with any evidence/proof, rather than hearsay?

My post wasn't relating to MM's own brand, but I clearly posted suggesting the OP might choose to purchase a "Clarke" blade for a "Clarke" saw...

I bought some Clarke blades from MM and they were complete and utter rubbish.
They wouldn't tension properly, they wore out rapidly, they wouldn't cut straight, they kept coming off the wheels and they snapped easily.
I bought some bi-metal ones from Dragon Saws and one outlasted the entire pack of MM ones.

Couldn't be bothered, too far to drive.
Whether I bought some from a bad batch, whether they're just generally that bad or whether they've improved since I couldn't care, I'd only ever buy them from a proper seller now.
I've just found out Tuff Saws is run by the chap that used to run Dragon Saws.
Tell them what you want to cut and they'll tell you what blade you need.

I agree, some MM stuff is utter rubbish. But the named products are good.

I got some MM Forrestal bits. 3 strikes and duller than a dull thing on a dull day. Like you didn't take em back, to far.

But the Clarks own band saw blades were as you expect from Clarks.

Tuff saws gets my vote as well, usually get them next day if ordered early enough in the day and they last me a long time. They are 2076mm x 27mm 5/8 vari M42 blades I get and I go through maybe 4-6 a year and I am cutting stainless every day.

Tuff saw m42 bi metal starret blades
Mine are coupled up with running coolant and literally chomp on and on with very little signs of dulling.
Great blades great company.
