Bambu P1s - excess filament on hotend?

Having finally found a place for it, the P1s is fully operational...
After a number of hours of printing (15+?) it has accumulated an excess of filament on the print head.
I thought these excesses were supposed to be removed automatically when the printhead parked, or something similar.
Is there something I can adjust to resolve this going forwards?

It will knock that off soon as it starts a print. Can be a pain though to get odd spots of colour in a multicolour print, I keep a handy pair of long tweezers next to the machine and just whip it off myself.
