It’s impressive how far the technology has come along in the last few years.
My old Anet printer was a full time hobby to get it to print something basic.

Bambu are the new ‘makerbot’ and seem to be trying to boil the frog in making the walls round their garden higher a bit at a time with pushing people toward their cloud services. Hopefully they’ll not be able to get away with it. Can’t deny they make good machines that give the performance of printers you would have had to pay much more for before.
Bambi’s ahead for sure but it’s not that far if you look at printers like the flashforge and creality.

They are good but not as polished as the reviews all make out. I have found many frustrating problems with mine. For example, having had PLA prints lift with the bed at 55c, I have been bumping it up to 60-62c. If you set the temperature while its doing the prep, it will get reset when it starts laying filament. That has caught me out a few times.
It can take an age to load external filament. You think its done and send a print, only for it to be cancelled as its still busy.
Mine has appeared to get stuck after the cleaning filament stage. I had to press pause and resume to get it moving.

Lifting with the stock print plate, or one of the aftermarket pattern ones?
Large parts can have a tendency to warp and lift at the edges, so you really have to have your bed adhesion dialled.
I still use 3DLAC, as it just works. There are cheaper options (cheap hair spray, glue sticks), but given how little you actually use, it's a known product that just works.
And I gave up with patterned plates a long time ago.
Ultimately the slicer is still sending a G-code file to the printer, which contains the print temp set in the slicer.
Unless the printer is set to override the G-code temperature (I'm not even sure any printer actually lets you do this..), it will heat to whatever is set when it reaches that line in the G-code.
Can't say I've ever had either of those problems.
The printer should tell you when the load/purge cycle has completed, or if you set the external filament option in the slicer, the printer will start the load cycle with the required manual intervention, then start printing as soon as it's ready.
There are a couple pauses in the filament purging cycle at times.
I think they're longer if you're swapping filament types, as it needs to change the printhead temp.
